Every night before bedtime, I enjoy a nightcap of warm milk and a good book. The best part is watching daddy try to read as fast as I turn the pages.
So today I spent the better part of the morning in the ER, with a temperature of 105. Come to find out it was just a stupid virus. (Thanks kids at Mother's Day Out). The Dr. said I am just building up my immune system. I don't even know what an immune is, but I can tell you I'd rather be building with blocks. The Doc gave me an IV and some Tylenol and sent me on my way. Said I'd be back to normal in no time.
What do you know, just a few hours later I was reading my favorite book and helping mommy sort two days of laundry. You would think that as long as she is sending me to Mother's Day Out and exposing me to all these germs, she would make better use of her time at home. I can't keep picking up after her. This is wearing me down.
I got off the porch again to hang with my big dogs (aka my cousins) WW, JB and Tucker. I lived life on the wild side this weekend. We threw back a few pitchers of milk, and the big dogs taught me how to open doors, knock over chairs and climb over barriers. There's something to be said for getting off the porch every now and then. Of course sometimes you end up in the dog house. But that's the price you pay for running with the big dogs.
